Kim has worked exclusively as a reliever since that July appearance, pitching only 5⅔ innings across three subsequent outings. He threw one scoreless inning against Lotte on September 20. Samsung may treat Friday as a shorter start rather than expecting him to cover six or seven innings.

Lee Ro-un — SSG Landers

Lee Ro-un is 7-3 with a 5.40 ERA and 1.46 WHIP through 58⅓ innings. He has surrendered 57 hits and 28 walks while recording 57 strikeouts. Lee has primarily worked out of the bullpen, making only three starts through the first five months of the season.

The 22-year-old has been excellent since moving into the rotation in September. Across three starts, Lee has permitted three earned runs in 17⅔ innings, producing a 1.53 ERA. He has allowed only 11 hits with three walks and 19 strikeouts during that stretch.

That recent improvement is legitimate enough to respect, but Samsung represents his most difficult test as a starter.
