Washington Wizards vs Oklahoma City Thunder Picks and Prediction for Saturday November 7 2026

Washington visits Oklahoma City at Paycom Center on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. ET. Local coverage includes Monumental Sports Network and KSBI. Oklahoma City is favored by 11.5, with a total of 220.5. Both teams played on the road Friday. I like the Thunder to win, but Washington getting double digits makes the spread a different call. See the full schedule on our NBA picks page.

Washington Can Stay Close if It Protects the Ball

The Wizards dropped to 4-5 with Friday’s 139-132 loss at Atlanta. They were 2-2 on the road before that trip and had also lost to the Hawks on Wednesday. Friday’s offense was a step forward. Giving up 139 is why it didn’t matter on the scoreboard.

Washington had averaged 108.9 points and allowed 109.0 before Friday. It made 18 of 34 threes against Atlanta, a pace I don’t expect to carry into Oklahoma City. The better takeaway is that the Wizards have more than one player who can initiate a possession. They need that variety if the Thunder take away the first option.

Kyshawn George had 33 points and seven assists Friday. Trae Young scored 23 with 10 assists, but also committed eight turnovers. That’s the number I’m watching. Washington can take some pressure off Young by letting George start possessions, especially when Oklahoma City pressures the ball above the arc.

Oklahoma City Can Separate by Creating Easier Possessions

The Thunder were 6-2 and 4-0 at home before Friday’s game in Memphis. They beat Cleveland 124-116 on Wednesday and return home Saturday. Oklahoma City has the better path to a win, but it has to do enough on the second night of a back-to-back to win by 12 for its spread backers.

Oklahoma City averaged 110.0 points and allowed 108.8 before Friday. Its clearest route to a double-digit margin is to turn Washington mistakes into easy baskets. If the Wizards make the Thunder score primarily against a set defense, the favorite can control the game without comfortably covering.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 42 against Cleveland on Wednesday. He gives Oklahoma City a reliable way to break down a set defense when the transition chances aren’t there. Chet Holmgren and Cason Wallace were listed out in an early matchup snapshot, so check the final report before making assumptions about Oklahoma City’s rim protection and guard rotation.

Washington Wizards vs Oklahoma City Thunder Picks and Prediction

Spread Pick: Washington Wizards +11.5

I’ll take the points while picking Oklahoma City outright. Washington doesn’t need to repeat its 132-point night. It needs George and Young to create enough decent looks to avoid the long scoring drought that turns a seven-point deficit into a blowout. If Young’s turnover trouble carries over, the Thunder could cover this quickly. That’s why I want the full +11.5.

Total Pick: Under 220.5

Washington’s hot shooting in Atlanta is the easiest way to make a case for the over, but it’s also the part of Friday’s game I’m least willing to project forward. I expect Oklahoma City to force more half-court possessions and Washington to score closer to its earlier baseline. My projection is Oklahoma City 114, Washington 104. The edge is small at 220.5.

Final Picks: Washington Wizards +11.5 and Under 220.5.
