The Golden Knights are in the Stanley Cup finals and what is amazing is the team made the finals in the first year of play. That has the odds makers really trying to figure out where they went wrong because the Golden Knights were not predicted to do much of anything on the season, let alone make the playoffs or the finals. If I remember right the odds at the start of the season was something like 5000 or 500 to one for the Golden Knights to make the finals. The Capitals were one of the early season favorites to make it, but they had to battle their way to get to the finals.

The Capitals managed to battle their way around the Lightning in the finals of the Eastern Conference. However, the Capitals were able to bring the heat in the series and made them sizzle as the Capitals were able to completely control the last game of the series and take game 7 in a shutout victory. So this is definitely something the Capitals are going to want to know about because the Golden Knights a heavy offensive sided team as well, just like the Lightning were. The big difference for the Capitals is the fact the Golden Knights have a defense that can step up and help to protect the goalie and their goalie has quite a bit of experience in the playoffs.

The Golden Knights have had plenty of time to study the game film for the Capitals and find out where they are weak in the offense and strong as well. The Golden Knights were able to completely control the series they had against the Winnipeg Jets and that is going to make a difference for the Golden Knights here as the Capitals were a team that if they faced the Jets head to head would easily outmatch the Capitals. The best part is the experience that Fleury has in the big games will help to bring the focus of the Golden Knights players off of the pomp that is around the Stanley Cup finals and back to the ice.

The Golden Knights completely dominated the Jets and managed to beat back the white out in Winnipeg like it was nothing. Not to mention the noise in Las Vegas will be more than anything the Capitals have faced all season. Look for the Golden Knights to be well refreshed in this game and the crowd noise to be very distracting to the Capitals. The Capitals cannot take the crowd out of the game and the Fleury curse arises again for the Capitals. The Vegas Golden Knights will bring home a win here 4-2.
