Winnipeg Jets at Vegas Golden Knights 2/22/19 NHL Pick

Vegas Golden KnightsThe Jets are facing a challenge from the Predators in the standings, but also the Golden Knights are not far back from the Sharks either. With the Golden Knights, they are attempting to run down the Sharks, but the Vegas squad is also looking to hold off the Coyotes in the standings and since the Golden Knights have put 10 points between them and that could help the Golden Knights lock in the third place in the Pacific.

Winnipeg Jets Preview

The Jets are coming into this game after dropping the last 3 games in a row. However,  the Jets are really trying to figure out what happened in the last game when they lost the game to the Avalanche team that has looked lost quite a bit this year by a score of 7-1. Kyle Conner would score the lone goal for the Jets, but it would come in the 3rd period and actually ended up being a power play goal. Hellebuyck in the game was off of his game as he faced 46 shots, but only saved 84.8% of the shots.

On the year the Jets have been able to rely on Blake Wheeler for the scoring with 69 points total and 57 assist. Mark Scheifele has been able to get a total of 30 goals on the year. When he is playing good Connor Hellebuyck is the goalie who plays best with the Jets with 26 wins, 2.98 goals allowed and 90.9% saved. As a team the Jets have been able to get 3.35 goals a game. The defense for the Jets have allowed 2.95 goals a game. The Jets have converted on the power play at 24.7%, but have managed to kill off 79.4% of the opponents power plays.

Vegas Golden Knights Preview

The Golden Knights are coming  into this game after 2 straight losses in the game. However, the Golden Knights are looking to attempt to run down the Sharks in the season and the losses are not helping the Golden Knights out that much. The last game was a 3-2 loss against the Bruins on the day. Reilly Smith and Nate Schmidt were able to score the 2 goals for the Golden Knights. The goalie for the Golden Knights in the game was Marc-Andre Fleury who faced 27 shots, but saved 92.6% of the shots he faced.

On the season so far the Golden Knights have been able to rely on Alex Tuch to do most of the scoring with 42 points and 26 assist. Tuch has been able to get a total of 16 goals on the season so far for the Golden Knights.  This year the offense of the Golden Knights has started to come around with 2.90 goals a game being scored. Defensively the Golden Knights have given up 2.79 goals per game.  With the power play the Golden Knights have been able to convert at 17.4% on the season so far. The Golden Knights have killed off 83.4% of the opponents power plays.

Jets at Golden Knights Line: Vegas Golden Knights -141 O/U 6.5

My Free NHL Pick: Vegas Golden Knights -141

The Golden Knights are playing decent on the year at home, but the Jets are just over the five hundred mark on the year when playing on the road. The Golden Knights have even been able to beat quite a few teams lately that have been ahead of them at home. Not to mention the Golden Knights did not lose to the Avalanche by giving up 7 goals in the last game and that luck will continue in all likelihood for the Jets. I personally look for this game to be a battle, but I look for the Golden Knights to pull off a home battle here 3-2.
