Los Angeles Sparks at Minnesota Lynx 6/8/19 – WNBA Pick, Preview, Prediction

Minnesota LynxThe Sparks are going to be looking to try to find a win on the road against one of the better teams in the WNBA. While that is possible the Lynx are definitely a team that is going to really have some good play in the game here that is going to dominate the game and potentially swing the game towards the Lynx. Not to mention the way the Lynx have been winning has been with a strong defensive showing as the offense has been playing all over the place on the year so far.

Los Angeles Sparks Preview

The Sparks are coming in with a 2-2 record on the year. Both of those losses have come on the road and they have both come against a team that easily beat them. The Sun won by 12 points and the Aces won by 13 points. The 1 road win the Sparks have came against the Liberty and that is a fairly hollow win as the Liberty are horrible this season.

The Sparks have been led in the scoring by Nneka Ogwumike at 16.5 points a game if you take out Maria Vadeeva who has played in a single game before going to play for the Russian national team. Chelsea Gray has managed to score 14.3 points a game this year for the Sparks. Nneka Ogwumike has ended up getting 11.3 rebounds a game on the year. Chelsea Gray has been the offensive spark with 4.5 assist a game.

Minnesota Lynx Preview

The Lynx have really relied on a strong defensive showing this year and that has really shown up big. The highest point total the Lynx have managed to get was against the Sky to open the season and that was 89 points. Outside of that it was a 77 point showing in the loss to Seattle that has helped the Lynx out. The last game out the Lynx were able to win by a couple of points over the Mercury.

Sylvia Fowles has been able to score 13.6 points a game for the Lynx, but she is backed up by Napheesa Collier who has ended up getting 12.4 points per game on the season. Fowles has been able to get a total of 9.2 boards a game on the year. Odyssey Sims has managed to get 4.6 assist a game on the year to lead the Lynx in the passing game.

My FREE WNBA Pick: Minnesota Lynx

The Lynx are not the best scoring team in the WNBA, but one thing the Lynx have been able to do is play consistently on the season and have a very strong defense. Look for the Sparks offense to struggle and look a little lost, but also the Sparks to be missing their major spark in the game as the offense simply collapses in the game. Final Score Prediction, Minnesota Lynx win 68-64.
