Doosan Bears Preview
The Bears were able to completely crush the Kiwoom Heroes in their last game. The win allowed the Bears to move up to a tie for fifth place in the KBO. The Bears are now sitting on a record of 19-19 on the year overall, but on the road the Bears are coming in with a record of 9-11 on the year so far.
Brandon Waddell is the starter going to the mound for his 6th start on the year. Waddell has posted a 3-2 record with a 1.61 ERA and a 0.93 WHIP. He has thrown a total of 28 innings giving up 10 runs of which only 5 were earned. He has allowed 22 hits and no homers, but has walked only 4 batters while striking out 30 batters. As a team the Doosan club has a 4.46 ERA and allowed 350 hits with 30 homers. The Bears have posted a 1.51 WHIP with a .266 opponents average.

Kiwoom did not even show up in the last game it would seem. The loss dropped the Heroes to 7th place in the KBO with a record of 15-20 on the year overall. When it comes to the home record Kiwoom has dropped under 500 to a record of 9-10 on the season.
Kim In-beom is the starter that heads to the mound here for the Heroes. He has started in 3 games out of his 8 appearances and has posted an 0-1 record with a 2.61 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP. Kim has thrown only 20 2/3 innings with 6 runs allowed all of those were earned. Kim has allowed 17 hits with a homer, but has struck out 8 batters while walking 4 batters. The Kiwoom team heads to this game here with a team ERA of 5.48 on the year. The Heroes have allowed 357 hits with a total of 30 homers given up. Kiwoom has ended up getting a team WHIP of 1.55 with the opponents hitting at a clip of .287.

In this game here it will definitely be a battle between a couple of teams that have struggled as of late. The Heroes have fallen from the top of the kBO towards almost the bottom now. However, the Bears are maintaining their status quo on the year. This is going to make it even harder for us to pick against the Bears. However, with the starter in this game here both having an ERA under 2.75 I am going to take the under 9.5 in this game here and that is what we are sticking with as both teams starters are able to keep the opponents in check.
