SSG Landers Preview
SSG is coming to this game here after getting a nice 5 run win in their last game. The win for Landers came over the KT Wiz with a final score of 11-6. The win moved SSG, who is in 4th place, to a record of 17-13-1 overall. However, on the road Landers has only posted a 6-5 record on the year.
The Landers club is putting Lee Ki-soon on the mound to start this game. This will be Lee’s first start on the year out of 3 appearances. He has posted a 0-0 record with a 4.05 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP. In his three appearances so far Lee has thrown 6 2/3 innings giving up 3 earned runs, 6 hits and a homer. Still, he has done great at pitching with 8 strikeouts and 4 walks. As a club SSG has a 5.26 ERA and has given up 292 hits with 41 homers. Landers has allowed the opponents to hit at a clip of .271 with a 1.49 WHIP.
SSG is hitting fairly decent with a .274 average and 166 runs. The Landers club has recorded 298 hits with 38 doubles, 1 triple, and 39 homers. The base running has seen 30 stolen bases with only 11 runners being thrown out.
Hanwha Eagles Preview
The Eagles for their part are coming in after getting drubbed by Doosan in their last game. The loss for the Eagles came by a score of 17-8. The loss dropped the Eagles to a record of 12-18 overall, but when playing at home the Eagles are still under five hundred, but with a 6-8 record.
Ryu Hyun-Jin is the starter heading to the mound for the Eagles for his 7th start on the year. Ryu has posted a 1-3 record with a 5.91 ERA and a 1.41 WHIP on the year. He has thrown a total of 32 innings on the year with 26 runs of which 21 were earned runs allowed. He has given up 34 hits and a lone homer. Strikeouts have totaled out at 31 on the year and only 11 batters have been walked by Ryu.. The Hanwha team has posted a 5.15 ERA and allowed 284 hits with 30 homers. Hanwha has allowed the opponents to hit at a clip of .276 with a 1.52 WHIP.
Hitting for Hanwha has been dismal on the year with a .252 average with 150 runs screed. The Eagles have managed to get 254 hits with 53 doubles, 8 triples, and 21 homers. Still the base running matches the hitting with 8 steals and 12 runners thrown out stealing.

Talk about a chance of seasons the Landers club is a shell of its former self this year and it’s definitely showing up. The Landers club, though, even with their road struggles, I think are going to be able to take down the Eagles. The Eagles simply don’t have a good enough offense to keep pace with Landers who can hit and run the base paths really well. Still, I do see this game coming in strong offensively and the total should be considered a strong over here.
