Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears

Chicago BearsThe NFL season kicks off again on Thursday night in what is sure to be a great game in the black and blue division as the Chicago Bears are going to be facing the Green Bay Packers. The Packers are an older than what you would expect but they are still a dynamic team that has quite a bit to offer.  what else will help the Packers is the fact that the Bears defense did not look that impressive during the preseason.  the Packers also have Aaron Rodgers back this year and if he is able to remain healthy he can easily lead the Green Bay Packers to several victories.  as for the Chicago Bears their defense which was so good last year and pivotal for them winning so many games was actually burned quite a bit in the preseason.

Green Bay Packers Preview

The Green Bay Packers are coming into this game with quite a decent roster stars or kind of stars or maybe just slightly past-their-prime however there are players that can show up in the big game when they need to. One player that the Packers may be relying on this year quite heavily would be Aaron Jones He is the starting running back for the Packers and he is one player that if he is able to show up big can really take a lot of the pressure off of Aaron Rodgers. You don’t have a decent backup and Tim Boyle but the should only get with two quarterbacks this year really smart I don’t know yet end up burning the Packers if Rodgers is unable to stay healthy. Graham don’t come back up tight end for the Packers Davante Adams at wide receiver could be pivotal for the Packers this season.

Defensively the Green Bay Packers most of the starters from last year and they did pick up some should help him out on the downside they did lose Oren Burnotks this week for an injury that could hurt the team as they go forward. On the Packers defensive backfield is intact as long as they don’t get too many injuries as their depth is questionable as they do have some injuries in that area that are already listed as being out.

Chicago Bears Preview

The Chicago Bears do not look like they’re going to be that good of a team next year. The team looked decent last year and had a great defense. But this season the offense does not seem to be clicking like it did last year. Granted the Bears do have quite a few players on the team that can help them win, but in the preseason there players seem to be lacking and didn’t really show up like you would have expected. Mitchell Trubisky is going to have some issues this year, as well as the league, knows that he can scramble now and they know how to stop them. What else may cause an issue is the Bears have David Montgomery has the number one running back in, to be honest, I called the Bears and I’ve heard of him but not to the point that I would recognize this as a good number one running back. Trey Burton is the starting tight end and is listed as questionable already Rashad Coward is the right tackle that’s the backup but he is already was so special as well.

When it comes to the defense bears like the base 3-4 however you have to have the good linebackers to back it up and outside of Khalil Mack the Bears don’t really have any flashy names that are help them out but they do have one good plus and that’s the fact that the HaHa Clinton-Dix is actually looking be ready for this game as he was listed as questionable earlier on this week. What else coming into this game is the Bears are healthy and everyone knows thats one thing that can hurt a defense quickly and keeps them from doing anything out of the gate. Is nose tackle position is occupied by Eddie Goldman over the center and he is 320 lbs and that’ll be hard for the Packers to push around.

Packers At Bears Line: Chicago Bears -3  O/U 46.5

My Free NFL Pick: Green Bay Packers +3

I have to say that I do like the scrambling ability of Trubisky and how he can change a game. However, I also think the experience and reading abiliity of Rodgers helps the Packers out quite a bit. Not to mention the Packers have a better supporting cast of players around Rodgers who can make the difference in the game here. The Packers defense will end up tested as well, but I mean really come on the Bears do not have an offense and no big names that can help carry the team. I personally look for the Packers to win this game and bring home the win here. Final Score, Green Bay Packers win 24-14.
