Wichita State is taking to the road in this game to face a very strong Bearcats team. For the Shockers they did get a win in the last game, but the win was one that was a push for the team. However, the Bearcats are coming into this game after a loss to Houston and it was the first loss in a long time for the Bearcats. The problem for the Shockers is the loss was on the road and at home the Bearcats have only lost a single game on the court and that is definitely going to be a major problem for the Shockers.

In the last game out for the Shockers it was actually a fairly easy walk in the park. The Shockers had to face the Tulane Green Wave and they actually ended up winning the game by a total of 15 points, which was actually very easy for the Shockers as the Green Wave are horrible. The Shockers in the game relied heavily on Markis McDuffie who put in 25 points in the game. McDuffie also led the Shockers in rebounding as well with a total of 8 boards in the game. Ricky Torres came off the bench to pass the ball around fairly well for the Shockers with 5 assist.
On the season the Shockers have ended up getting a total of 69.7 points a game on average. The defense for the Shockers has been suspect at times, but it typically gives up 70.2 points a game. With the passing attack of the Shockers the team has been able to get 13.2 assist a game, but when it is time for the Shockers to clean up the boards they have been able to get 36.7 boards a game.
Cincinnati Bearcats Preview
The Bearcats are coming into this game after getting embarrassed by Houston. However, the Bearcats definitely kept the game a lot closer than what the Cougars thought it would be. The Bearcats scored 58 points and only allowed a very potent Cougars offense to get 65 points. The Bearcats in the loss were led in the scoring by Jarron Cumberland who ended up getting a total of 27 points in the game. Nysier Brooks was able to get a total of 10 boards in the game for the Bearcats. When it comes to passing the ball, though, the Bearcats struggled as they only managed to get 6 assist as a team in the game.
On the season the Bearcats offense has not been that strong at 74.1 points a game, but the real strength for the Bearcats lies in the defense which has given up 61.8 points a game. Passing for the Bearcats has been a problem at times, the Houston game is a prime example and on the year the Bearcats have been able to get 14.3 assist a game. Rebound for the Bearcats has been a challenge at times, but not a major challenge as the Bearcats have been able to get 35.7 boards a game.

The line in this game even with the Bearcats playing stellar defense at home and good offense, the Shockers will be able to keep the line too close. I do think the Bearcats will come out on top in this game here, but as I said the spread is way to high for the Bearcats to cover and after the way the offense performed against Houston it will definitely have a problem here in winning the game. I do see the Bearcats winning this game at the final score of 72-66.
