Real Betis vs Granada 6/15/20 – La Liga Pick & Prediction

Real BetisReal Betis is coming into the game sitting in 13th in the table with a total of 33 points on the year. That is not that bad for a team that was not really highly favored at all. The Granada club is coming into the game sitting in 9th place in the table. What is really impressive is Granada has 41 points and their last win over Getafe was a win over a top 5 club.

In their last 5 games Real has looked not the best, but not horrible either with a win, 2 losses, and a 2 draws. The downside is one of those losses was after the coronavirus pause was over and it was a 2-0 loss to Sevilla. Real Betis on the year has ended up scoring a total of 38 goals. The downside is the Betis team has allowed 45 goals to be scored against them.

With Granada their last 5 games have not been horrible as the team has picked up 3 wins and 2 draws in the last 5. The last game was actually a 2-1 win over Getafe and it was their first game back after the coronavirus pause. The Granada team has an offense that is not that overly impressive, but not horrible either with 35 goals scored. The Granada team has allowed only 33 goals to be scored against them.

The last 5 matches between these two teams have been fairly impressive with the Granada team taking 2 o the games, including the last meeting between the teams in October. The Real Betis team only managed to snag a single win in the game. However, these teams did end up getting 2 draws in their games as well.

The game here I think the oddsmakers have the wrong team favored. Yes, Granada does have some issues, but if you consider the fact that Granada is coming into the game after picking up a nice win in their return to action and that Real Betis lost by getting shutout, it shows that one team was better prepared. I look for Granada to build off of their recent success and continue to win, but with the poor offensive showing from Betis this game will land on the under.
