Minnesota Lynx at Seattle Storm 6/4/19 – WNBA Pick, Preview, Prediction

WNBA PickThe Lynx have been very impressive on the year as they are sitting on a 3-0 record on the season. Even on the road the Lynx have picked up the win in the game and that was an impressive 3 point victory over Dallas, but it was a game that did show the Lynx offense as having some problems. Seattle is coming to the game with a record that sits at the five hundred mark on the season. The Storm did lose their recent game against Chicago on the road to wrap up the 3 game road trip. At the same time, though, this is only the second game the Storm have had at home and the first home game was a win over Phoenix by 9 points.

Minnesota Lynx Preview

The Lynx have not really had an offense that has been nearly as strong as you would expect to see for a team that is perfect on the season. Instead, the Lynx have actually been relying on a decent and consistent play on the defensive side of the ball. However, the consistent play and the lack of off court distractions have definitely helped the team come together quite a bit better than what you would expect to see on the season.

Sylvia Fowles is the leading scorer for the Lynx and has only managed to get 14 points a game. She is backed up in the scoring department by Napheesa Collier who has been able to get a total of 13.7 points a game. However, the Lynx have a total of 5 players scoring double figures on a consistent basis. When it comes to cleaning up the glass Fowles has been able to get 11.7 boards a game, of which she is getting just over 2.5 boards a game on the offensive glass. Odyssey Sims is the leading passer in the game with 5 assist a game for the Lynx.

Seattle Storm Preview

The Storm are actually going to come into this game a little hyped up and knowing that if they lose this game they could easily slip from their second place comfort to just ahead of the winless Dallas squad on the year. That is definitely going to give the Storm a boost to win, but also knowing that a win could put the Storm only a half game back from the Lynx on the year and what does not help is the Lynx defense in the first meeting between the two was able to contain the Storm offense in Minnesota.

Natasha Howard is leading the Storm with 19.8 points a game. Jewell Loyd is the second leading scorer for the Storm with 14.3 points a game. When it comes to the rebounding Howard has been a machine for the Storm with a total of 11 boards a game. She has even managed to pull down a total of 4 offensive boards a game, which is very helpful for second chance shots. Jordin Canada has been impressive with just over 5 assist a game and a touch over 3 steals a game for the Storm.

Lynx vs Storm Line:

My FREE WNBA Pick: Seattle Storm

The home court is a big advantage in this game for Seattle as it can disrupt the Lynx defensive play calls. However, what is going to help the Storm out as well is they have been playing consistent recently and have figured out how to help support Howard at times. The Lynx, they do spread the ball around nicely and have been playing great defensively as a team, but the Storm are going to have too much hype and the crowd is too loud for the Lynx to coordinate their defense on the court. Final Score Prediction, Seattle Storm win a low scoring game 72-68.
