LSU vs Michigan State 3/29/19 – Sweet Sixteen Free Pick

The Tigers are looking to prove that the SEC teams do exist and should be seen as a threat. The first round was a Tigers win by only 5 points over the Ivy League champs of Yale, but the Tigers also had some problems in their next game as they were only able to beat the Terrapins by a couple of points and now the Tigers face Michigan State, who ran over Maryland and most other teams this season.

With the Tigers the offense was able to score at a clip of 80.9 points a game on the year. The Tigers defense played decent as they gave up only 72.9 points a game on the year. When it comes to the passing attack the Tigers ended up getting 13.1 assist a game, but the team managed to pull down 38.9 boards a game.

Michigan State is looking to continue to run over teams in this game. The first round game was a little bit of a challenge for the Spartans as they only won the game by 11 points. However, the second round opponent was one that the Spartans were really impressed with as they beat the Golden Gophers, another Big Ten team, by 20 points and did not even look like they were challenged in the game.

The Spartans have been able to score at a clip of 78.9 points a game on the year so far. The defense for the Spartans has given up only 65.2 points a game. When it comes to the passing attack the Spartans have managed to get 18.7 assist a game, but also have pulled down 41 boards a game.

The Spartans have dominated almost all of the teams they have played against in the tournament so far and that will continue in this game as the Tigers offense struggles yet again. Look for the Tigers to have some issues offensively and that will cost the team quite a bit in this game again. Final Score, Michigan State Spartans win and cover ATS 76-68.
