Tuesday will see the start of the weekday series for the Korean baseball organization. One of the first games that comes up on the schedule is the Kia Tigers vs KT Wiz 4/2/24 game. The game is set to take place at 5:30 AM EST. For this game it will be aired on SPOTV2 and held at Suwon KT Wiz Park.
Kia Tigers Preview
Kia is coming into the game here after completely dominating the Doosan Bears in their last game. The Tigers are now sitting in second place in the KBO and have posted a 5-1 record on the year. The hitting for the Tigers is coming in at a clip of .284 with 3 homers, but have a 2.89 ERA on the season.
Heading to the mound for the Tigers in this game is Yang Hyeon-jong who is coming in with a start already on the year against Lotte. Yang is coming in with no decision in the game played, but are posting a 1.69 ERA and a 1.69 WHIP. In the game Yang threw 5 1/3 innings allowing a lone run, 5 hits and 4 walks. Still, Yang was able to strike out a total of 4 batters.
Park Min is leading the hitting department for the Tigers with a .500 average in only 2 plate appearances. Choi Hyoung-woo is the power hitter for the Tigers with a total of 2 homers on the year, but also leads the RBI lead as well with 5 runners brought home.
KT Wiz Preview
KT is heading into the game here after getting thrashed by Hanwha. The loss against Hanwha came with a final score of 14-3. The Wiz are coming in sitting in dead last in the KBO with a 1-7 record on the year. The KT team has posted a .286 average and have a lot of power with 9 homers, but the pitching is downright horrible with an 8.66 ERA.
Ko Young-pyo is heading to the mound for the second time this year after pitching against Doosan. This year Young-pyo has posted a 20.25 ERA and a 3.50 WHIP and recorded a loss. In the loss he only threw for 4 innings and gave up 9 runs and 13 hits and a walk. Still, Young-pyo was able to get a lone strikeout.
Cheon Seong-ho is coming in as the hitting leader for the Wiz at .529 in an impressive 35 plate appearances. Mel Rojas Jr. is coming in with quite a bit of power hitting in the game with a total of 4 homers on the season. Rojas is also leading the Wiz with a total of 7 runners brought home to score.
Tigers vs Wiz Pick: KIA Tigers
The Wiz are going to have a very long season on the season. The Wiz have not been able to pitch the ball very well at all and the starter that is heading to the mound for the Wiz in this game was throttled in his last game. Look for that type of game play to continue for the Wiz here who struggle to do much of anything pitching or defensively as the Tigers are able to secure another win.
