NFL action is set to take place on 8/4/22 and it will feature Jacksonville Jaguars vs Las Vegas Raiders. The game is set to take place at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio. The game starts at 8:00 PM EST and should be televised on NBC.

The Jaguars finsihed last year in a horrible manner. Now, in the Hall of Fame Game the Jaguars are looking to have a little bit of a bounce back and potentially find out who the Jaguars can rely on for the season and who they cannot. Still, the last 5 to finish out the 2021 season was a horrible 1-4 showing.

Jaguars Offensive Depth

The starting quarterback in the game should still be the normal starter in Trevor Lawrence. However, Lawrence is hoping to build upon some of the retooled weapons the Jaguars have brough in. The key target should be Marvin Jones Jr., but another favorite target could end up being Christian Kirk. The rushing game really hinges on health issues as Travis Etienne Jr. is coming to Jacksonville and could provide some good rushing threats.

Jaguars Defensive Depth

Jacksonville had a lot of defensive issues last year and that could continue in this game here. The Jags did not really bring in a ton of new talent, but do have Travon Walker and Jose Allen in the linebacking field that could play a key role at keeping any runs inside the tackles. Still, the defensive backfield could easily get burned by the lack of outstanding talent on the field.

Las Vegas had a season that last year was a lot of back and forth action. However, the Raiders did finish the season on a key run going 4-1 last season. The Raiders would love to be able to complete a run like that again this season, but that does remain to be seen if Las Vegas can have that good of a run.

Raiders Offensive Depth

The Raiders are bringing back Derek Carr to throw the ball down field. Carr has been one quarterback that has flown under the radar most of the seasons that he has played, but that could be a blessing for the Raiders. The Raiders even have a good number of targets for Carr with Davante Adams leading the way, but also Hunter Renfrow as well. For the underneath target the Raiders have Darren Waller on the field. Its a good thing the Raiders do have a good quarterback as the rushing attack is lacking in talent with Josh Jacobs listed as the starter, but he has not been a standout star as expected.

Raiders Defensive Depth

Already 3 of the Raiders starters on the defensive side of the ball have been ruled as being out. Still the depth from the defensive line should make up for some of the losses at that position. If not, the secondary should be able to help make up some of the losses as well. The linebackers are questionable, but have been consistently good in the past.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Las Vegas Raiders Odds: Jaguars +2, Raiders -2

Over/Under Odds: 33

Jaguars vs Raiders Pick: Las Vegas Raiders -2, Under 33

Odds from Betonline.ag

The injuries on the defensive side of the ball for the Raiders will not hurt them in this game. The Raiders have a good lineup and decent depth. Offensively the Raiders are bringing back quite a bit of talent and should have ample time to evaluate the running game in this game here as well. The Jaguars are still missing a lot of components to become a competitive team and with that being the case, do not look for the Jaguars to do much in this game which is why I am looking for Las Vegas to cover, but also for the total to stay under.
