The Lotte Giants are taking to the road to face the KT Wiz on Wednesday to continue the weekday series games. The Giants vs Wiz 5/16/24 game is set to be played at 5:30 AM EST and is being played at Suwon KT Wiz Park. The game is being broadcast locally on SBS Sports.
Lotte Giants Preview
Lotte is heading here after losing to the KT Wiz in the opening game of the series. The loss came by a score of 7-4. With the loss the Giants are still sitting in dead last in the KBO, but have posted a 13-26-1 record. When playing on the road the Giants are 4-14-0 so far.
Park Se-woong comes to the mound for his 9th start on the year. Se-woong has posted a 3-3 record with a 4.53 ERA and a 1.51 WHIP. Park has ended up throwing 43 2/3 innings on the year with 22 earned runs out of 28 total runs. He has allowed 52 hits, 3 homers, 14 walks, and struck out 31. This year the Giants have posted a 5.19 ERA and have allowed 409 hits with 42 homers allowed. Lotte has ended up getting a 1.59 WHIP and the opponents have hit at a clip of .295.

KT looked good in the win over the Giants, but it was against a very weak Giants team. The Wiz are coming in sitting in 7th place in the KBO. However, the KT team is now sitting on a 18-24-1 record on the year, but when playing on their home field the Wiz have posted a 11-8-0 record.
William Cuevas is the starter going to the mound for his 10th start of the year. William has posted a 2-3 record with a 3.09 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP. He has thrown a total of 55 1/3 innings giving up 19 earned runs out of 20 total runs, but has allowed 44 hits. Um has allowed 6 homers, but walked only 14 while striking out 58. The Samsung Lions have posted a team ERA of 6.02 on the year overall, but have allowed only 456 hits with 51 homers given up. The opponents are hitting at a clip of .299 while the Lions have posted a 1.60 WHIP.
The Wiz come to the game here hitting at a clip of .283 with a total of 236 runs. The KT Wiz have recorded a total of 434 hits with 63 doubles, 4 triples, and 44 homers. The base running has managed to see the Wiz pick up a total of 23 steals with only 8 runners being thrown out.
Giants vs Wiz 5/16/24 Pick: KT Wiz
The Giants are putting a different starter on the mound in this game after the rainout on Wednesday. However, in this game here I do not think it will make much of a difference in the game here. The Giants lack of hitting is what will cost the Lotte team this game here. The KT Wiz are going to have a great offensive game here, but with William Cuevas on the mound it will be easier to see the KT team getting the win in this game here.
