Connecticut Sun at Los Angeles Sparks 5/31/19 – WNBA Pick, Preview, Prediction

Los Angeles Sparks PickThe Sun have really looked impressive on the year as the offense has not hit under the 80 point mark in the first 2 games of the year. However, what else is impressive is the defense has really helped the offense out as the closest the opponent has been was 11 points and that was with Indiana coming that close to the Sun. The Sparks in their opening game ended up losing to Los Vegas by a total of 13 points in the game.  What did not really help the Sparks out was the offense was barely able to make it to the 70 point mark in the opening game.

Connecticut Sun Preview

The Sun’s offense this year has been fairly well balanced as Jonquel Jones has been able to average 17.5 points a game. Jasmine Thomas has ended up getting a total of 14 points a game. When it comes to rebounding the Sun have relied on Jones as well with 11 boards a game for the Sun. Jasmine Thomas has managed to get a total of 6.5 assists a game on the year so far. While Alyssa Thomas has managed to get 3 steals all season.

Los Angeles Sparks Preview

The Sparks scoring was not really that impressive so far this year. Maria Vadeeva was able to score a total of 24 points in the opening game and Nneka Ogwumike was able to get 17 points. Outside of those 2 everyone else was in single digits. The rebounding was handled by Ogwumike with a total of 11 boards. For the Sparks, three different players were able to get a total of 4 assists in the game. The Sparks did have 3 players tied for the team lead with 2 steals in the game.

Sun at Sparks Line:

My FREE WNBA Pick: Connecticut Sun

The Sun has been consistent on the year and unlike the Sparks are not really relying on any single player on the year for scoring. Not to mention the defense of the Suns has really been a dominant force on the season and that will definitely help the Sun out in this game as the Sparks have an offense that has not really shown up big and if the Sun are able to contain Vadeeva the Sparks will be in some serious trouble. Look for the Sun to be able to bring home a win in this game and have some decent defensive showing in this game here. Final Score, Connecticut Sun win 85-70.
