NFL action is set to take place on 8/12/22 and it will feature Cleveland Browns at Jacksonville Jaguars. The game is set to take place at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida. The game starts at 7:00 PM EST and is not listed as being televised.
Cleveland is coming to the game here with a record last year that is sitting at 8-9. The Browns in the AFC North last season was able to finished with a 3-3 mark, but now the Browns are looking for a new quarterback to lead the team to what could be a potential winning year, but still Cleveland with the loss of Mayfield could have a lot of issues this year.
The Browns are going to have to figure out what to do with the offense as Watson is suspended, Mayfield is gone, but also the Browns have Jacoby Brissett and Joshua Dobbs on the roster to battle for the starting position. Nick Chubb is coming back for his 5th year as a starter for Cleveland. Last year Chubb ran the ball 228 times for 1,259 yards and 8 touchdowns on the year. Another issue the Cleveland offense has to overcome is the loss of JC Tretter who was the leader on the offensive line.
The defense for Cleveland had some issues last year. The Browns defense allowed 311 yards per game, but have allowed 202 yards in the air and only 109 yards on the ground. The Titans allowed only 21.8 points per game, but did end up with 13 picks and picked up 43 sacks. On the defensive line the Browns lost both Malik McDowell and Jackson in the offseason.
Jacksonville was able to play in the Hall of Fame Game already this year. However, the Jaguars were very sloppy in the game and ended up getting only 11 points scored. The defense for Jacksonville gave up a total of 27 points in the game.
The Jaguars did not have Lawrence in the game. Instead the offense for Jacksonville ended up going 23/42 for 214 yards and a touchdown. The rushing attack for Jacksonville was horrible with 16 carries for 59 yards and no touchdowns.
Defensively Jacksonville allowed Las Vegas to go 20/32 in the air for 162 yards and no touchdowns, but did record a total of 5 sacks with 41 yards. The rushing defense for the Jaguars was horrible giving up 159 yards on 33 carries, but also allowed 3 touchdowns on the day as well.

Odds from Betonline.ag
The Jaguars offense only managed to get 11 points in the opening week against the Raiders. Now, the Jaguars are a team that is going to come in playing at home against a Browns team that has no offensive identity. The Browns defense is fairly questionable as well and that is going to make it very easy for the Jaguars to start to get some offensive momentum going on the day, which is why I see the Jaguars securing the win and covering, but neither offense doing well enough to get the win.
