Claudia Gadelha vs Angela Hill – 5/16/20 UFC Fight Night Pick & Prediction
The women’s strawweight actually has a main event fight here as well. The fight will feature Claudia Gadelha taking on Angela Hill. However, this is one battle that is going to have a fighter that is very good and definitely going to be coming in looking for another win, but the other fighter is a fairly good veteran that will come in and fight good, but with the way she has fought before it could be difficult for her to win this bout.
Claudinha is heading into the fight here using the orthodox stance, but tends to rely more on the Jiu-Jitsu style of fighting to make the difference in the fighting. In her last fight Gadelha ended up fighting against Randa Markos in what ended up being a unanimous decision win for Gadelha. The win pushed Gadelha to a 17-4 record overall and in the TKO/KO fights she has went 2-0, but submission fights she has done great in with a 7-0 record.
Hill is heading into the fight here with an orthodox style of stance that will help out quite a bit in her fighting, but she is seen more as a strike when it comes to the fighting style. In her last fight Hill ended up picking up a unanimous decision win over Loma Lookboonmee. The win allowed Hill to improve a 12-7 record on the year and when it comes to the TKO/KO fighting she has a 5-0 record, but has not won a submission battle yet with an 0-2 record.
When it comes to the height Claudia Gadelha is coming into the fight with a slight height advantage at 5’4” and weighing in at 115 pounds. The reach for Gadelha is standing at 63 inches and definitely could make a difference, but it is not as far as Hill’s reach. With Angela Hill she is coming in standing at 5’3” and has the same exact weight at 115 pounds. Hill does have a slight reach advantage at 64.5 inches versus the shorter reach that Gadelha has.
Claudia Gadelha vs Angela Hill Prediction – Claudia Gadelha -185
In what is going to be a good fight here in the strawweight division it will be hard to call. However, one thing that is going to be an issue is the fact that Hill is not coming out strong in the submission style and relies more on the striker fighting, but with the speed and ability of Gadelha it will end up going to the ground in the fight here and that will lead to Gadelha winning this fight in what will most likely be a submission battle.
