Chicago Sky at Washington Mystics 6/5/19 – WNBA Pick, Preview, Prediction
The Sky and the Mystics are coming in holding the same 1-1 record on the year. However, the Sky have looked somewhat impressive in some of their games and definitely against Seattle the Sky looked really good as they were able to put in a total of 83 points in the game, but the defense did struggle like they did in the first game as the Sky still allowed 79 points to be scored. The Mystics for their part have had somewhat similar struggles on the year as the Mystics have ended up winning 1 game over Atlanta by 21 points, but the first game the Mystics played against the Sun was a loss by 15 points as the offense forgot where the court was at.
Chicago Sky Preview
The last game out for the Sky was a 4 point victory at home over Seattle, which was a quality win. However, the first road game for the Sky was a crushing loss that saw the offense and defense both forget where to go to play basketball as they allowed 89 points and only managed to reply with 71 points of their own in the game.
The Sky have been led in the scoring department by Allie Quigley with 17.5 points a game, but after her the next leading scorer is the only other one in double figures and that is Diamond DeShields with 10.5 points a game. When it comes to rebounding, the Sky have relied on Stefanie Dolson, who has pulled down 6.5 boards a game and only 1.5 offensive boards a game. The Sky have been able to get 9.5 assist a game from Courtney Vandersloot on the season.
Washington Mystics Preview
The Mystics have the same record as the Sky and that is definitely going to be something that they would like to improve upon and playing at home has been a nice change of team for the Mystics who beat Atlanta by a total of 21 points in the home opener. The loss for the Mystics came on the road and that was against a well primed Connecticut squad who put in 84 points in the game as the Mystics defense collapsed on the road.
Washington has been able to get 18 points a game from Elena Delle Donne. She has been helped in the scoring by Ariel Atkins who has managed to get 15.5 points a game on the year. When it comes to rebounding the Mystics have seen Donne get 7 boards a game. The assist leader for the Mystics on the year so far has been Natasha Cloud with 6 assist a game.

My Free WNBA Pick: Washington Mystics
The Mystics are playing at home and the offense has definitely got a spark when playing at home versus the road. What else will help the Mystics out offensively is the struggles the Sky defense has had on the road this season. That has caused some definite issues for the Sky and it dates back to the preseason even, so it is not any type of change that the Sky have made, but they simply have not figured out how to stop the changes. The Mystics defense tends to step up at home and should continue to do just that in this game here as the Mystics bring home a win by having a dominating defense. Final Score Prediction, Washington Mystics win 80-72.
