MLB action is set to take place on Monday, July 11th, 2022 and it will feature the Arizona Diamondbacks at San Francisco Giants. The game is set to take place at Oracle Park in San Francisco, California. The game starts at 9:45 PM EST and should be televised on Bally Sports AZ and NBC Sports Bay.

Giants Pick

The Arizona Diamondbacks are coming to the game here with a 38-47 record on the year. The road record for Arizona is not that bad with a 16-22 mark. The last 5 games for Arizona have seen the Diamondbacks go 2-3 including a win on Saturday over the Rockies by a score of 9-2.

This year Arizona has managed to hit at a clip of .233 as a team with 623 hits and a .302 OBP. The Diamondbacks have scored 365 runs and have cranked out 99 homers and have a .385 slugging. The Diamondbacks have posted a WHIP of 1.32 and have a team ERA of 4.35. The opponents have hit at a clip of .252 while Arizona has struck out 620 batters and walked 268 batters.

When it comes to hitting the Diamondbacks have been able to rely on Ketel Marte for average at .265. The power and run production is coming from Christian Walker who has hit 21 homers and brought home a total of 43 runners. The Diamondbacks starting pitcher is Merrill Kelly who has posted a 7-5 record and a 3.42 ERA while getting a 1.23 WHIP. Kelly has thrown 97.1 innings on the year and struck out 80 batters. Kelly has walked 34 batters and allowed 6 homers on 86 hits.

San Francisco is coming to the game with a 42-41 record on the year. The Giants, when playing at Oracle Park, have posted a 21-20 record. The last 5 games for San Francisco heading to play on Sunday have seen the Giants post a 2-3 record and the last game was a 3-1 victory over the Padres.

Run production has been decent for the Giants with 384 runs scored with 96 homers and a .390 slugging. The San Francisco Giants have managed to get 641 hits with a .318 OBP and a .233 average. The Giants pitching staff has posted a 4.04 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP, but the opponents are hitting at a clip of .252. The San Francisco Giants have struck out 681 batters and walked only 220 batters.

The Giants have been led in the hitting department by Thairo Estrada at a clip of .253. The run production leader is Wilmer Flores with 43 runners brought home, but the power hitter is Joc Pederson who has cranked out 17 homers. The starting pitcher in the game is slated to be Alex Cobb who is 3-3 with a 4.74 ERA and a 1.37 WHIP. Cobb has thrown 57 innings and struck out 59 batters while walking 16. Cobb has allowed 5 homers and 62 hits on the season.

Arizona Diamondbacks at San Francisco Giants Odds: Arizona Diamondbacks +132, San Francisco Giants -152

Over/Under Odds: 8

Arizona Diamondbacks at San Francisco Giants Prediction: Arizona Diamondbacks +132, Over 8

Odds from Betonline.ag

With both of these teams being fairly evenly matched and the starter for the Diamondbacks doing slightly better with Kelly on the mound it will be hard to bet against the visitors. Yes, I know the Diamondbacks are not that great of a road team, but look at the Giants they are only a game over the five hundred mark at home and that is not really that impressive. Still I look for the total in this game hitting the over as neither pitcher is really that cornerstone shut down pitcher like normal and that will definitely prove to be the case here.
