Lotte Giants vs Kiwoom Heroes 4/14/24

Lotte Giants Preview

Lotte is heading here after getting crushed by the Heroes in their last game. The loss came by a score of 8-1 on the day and was a major disappointment for the Giants fans and the offense as well. The Giants are now sitting in dead last in the KBO and have posted a dismal 4-13 record on the year.

Na Gyun-an is the starter heading to the game here for the Giants. This year in 3 starts Gyun-an has posted a 0-2 record with a 3.86 ERA and a 1.71 WHIP. Na has thrown 16 1/3 innings with 7 runs and 19 hits allowed, but also 2 homers. Na has struck out a total of 20 batters while walking 9 on the season. The opponents are hitting the Giants pitching fairly easy with a .290 average, but the Giants have ended up with a 1.61 WHIP. Lotte has managed to post a 5.10 ERA on the season so far.

Lotte is one of the worst hitting teams in the KBO with a .243 average and are the worst scoring team in the KBO with 59 runs. The Giants have recorded 146 hits with 19 doubles and 4 triples, but still has not reached double digits in the homers with only 7. The one plus is the base running for the Giants who have 21 steals with 5 runners being thrown out.

Kiwoom Heroes Preview

Kiwoom is now sitting in 3rd place in the KBO. The record for the Heroes is almost a mirror of the Giants as the Heroes are sitting on a 10-6 record, which with the way that Kiwoom has been playing recently should only be going up.

Son Hyeon-gi is the starter that gets the nod for the Heroes in this game. This season Son has made 2 relief and 1 starts on the year. He has ended up with an 0-0 record with a 4.50 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP. He has only thrown 10 innings on the year with 5 runs and 9 hits allowed, but also has given up 2 homers. He has been questionable on the control part with 4 strikeouts and 4 walks on the year. The pitching for Kiwoom as a team is in the middle of the pack the KBO standings with a 4.40 ERA. The Heroes have allowed the opponents to hit at a clip of .250 with a 1.38 WHIP.

The hitting for Kiwoom is not that bad with a .279 average and a total of 99 runs. Still the Heroes have scored a total of 156 hits, but has ended up getting 22 doubles and 3 triples with 22 homers. The base running for Kiwoom has ended up with 9 steals on the year with no runners thrown out.

Lotte Giants vs Kiwoom Heroes 4/14/24 Pick: Kiwoom Heroes

Lotte is downright horrible on the year and it makes it very hard for us to back them on the year. With that being said, we are taking the Heroes again in this game. Granted, the Heroes offense may not get going right away as Na is a good starter, but once the bullpen is reached which should be around the 5th inning the Heroes hitting will pick up and secure the win.
