NFL action is set to take place on 8/13/22 and it will feature Dallas Cowboys at Denver Broncos. The game is set to take place at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado. The game starts at 9:00 PM EST and should be televised NFL Network.

The Cowboys are a team that is used to winning and last year were able to get back to the winning path. The Dallas Cowboys finished the year at 12-6 on the year overall, but were a very impressive 6-0 in the NFC East. The Cowboys are being led again this year by Mike McCarthy.

Cowboys Offense

The Dallas offense is coming in with Dak Prescott back to lead the offense, but he is on the hot seat. Prescott last year went 410/596 for 4,449 yards with 37 touchdowns and only 10 picks, but still choked when it mattered most. The leading rushing for the Cowboys was Ezekiel Elliott who carried the ball 237 times for 1002 yards and 10 touchdowns. Offensively Dallas is bringing back a total of 8 starters, but did lose Amari Cooper who was a key target of Prescott at crunch time.

Cowboys Defense

The defense for the Cowboys allowed a total of 351 yards and barely cracked the top 20, but did give up 238 yards in the air and 113 yards on the ground. The Cowboys allowed only 21.1 points per game, but did end up with 26 picks and picked up 41 sacks. Dallas is bringing back a total of 9 starers from the defensive side of the ball, but one of the players lost was a leader in the defensive backfield in Damontee Kazee.

Denver will be looking to have a good return this year and potentially a better return on the investments made in the offseason. The Broncos last year finished at a record of 7-10 on the year, but in the division the Broncos were horrible with a 1-5 record. Denver is being led by Nathaniel Hackett a new NFL head coach.

Broncos Offense

Denver will be settling in with a new quarterback this year again with Russell Wilson coming in to lead the Broncos. The Broncos are bringing back Melvin Gordon and Javonte Williams who combined for 406 carries with 1,821 yards and 12 touchdowns. The offense is b ringing back a total of 8 starters who should help guide Wilson around the new system and make him look like the standout he was in Seattle.

Broncos Defense

When it comes to the defensive side of the ball the Broncos allowed 326 yards per game, but allowed only 215 yards per game in the air and 111 yards per game on the ground. The Broncos did give up 18.9 points per game and only managed to get 13 picks with 36 sacks. The Denver defense is bringing back 9 starters, but the Broncos did give up Shelby Harris to get Wilson and Harris was the sack leader for the Broncos last year.

Dallas Cowboys at Denver Broncos Odds: Cowboys +2.5, Broncos -2.5

Over/Under Odds: 31

Cowboys at Broncos Pick: Denver Broncos -2.5, Over 31

Odds from Betonline.ag

Well starting a game off at Mile High will definitely give the Cowboys some fatigue issues and leave the players gassed. Look for the Broncos to take full advantage of the altitude and bring home the win and cover, but look for the combination of Prescott and Wilson to give both of these teams a good jump on the over.
