Denver is in the hunt for their first win of the season still. The Broncos in their last game were dominated on both sides of the ball and ended up losing by a score of 28-10. The Denver team were not able to score at all in the second half and had a defensive lapse in the game, but that is common for most teams when they face a Tom Brady led offense. However, the loss definitely calls into question the defensive effort that Denver can bring to the field.
This season the Denver offense has been questionable as well scoring only 15 points per game. The Denver defense is giving up 23.3 points a game. In the first down battle Denver is losing as well gaining only 55 on the year while giving up 62 first downs. On the passing offense Denver has thrown for 615 yards and 4 touchdowns with 3 picks, but the opponents have thrown for 833 yards and 7 touchdowns with only 1 pick. Rushing for Denver has been done to the tune of 66 carries for 253 yards and a touchdown. The opponents have carried the ball 81 time for 307 yards and a score.
With New York their problems look even worse than the Broncos, if that is possible. The Jets are coming into the game here winless as well. The last game on the field for the Jets was against the Colts and the Jets defense was torn to pieces by giving up a total of 36 points in the game. The offense for New York did not look good either with only 7 points scored in the game.
On the season the Jets offense has been horrible on the year scoring only 12.3 points a game, but the defense has been even worse giving up a total of 31.3 points per game. Converting on the downs the Jets have only been able to get 47 first downs compared to the 69 the opponents have managed to get. The Jets passing offense is not the greatest this year with only 526 yards, 3 touchdowns, but 4 picks on the year. The opponents for the Jets have ended up with 717 yard and 5 touchdowns with only 1 pick. Rushing the ball has not been that great for New York either with 73 carries for 265 yards and 1 touchdown. Defensively the Jets have allowed the opponents to get 399 yards on 92 carries for 4 touchdowns.

In the game here it will be a challenge for both teams. Neither team has ended up getting much going offensively. The defense for Denver is playing almost a touchdown per game better in the score difference on allowed points. Outside of that the defense is not as even and the Jets have the better passing defense, but the worse rushing defense . The offense for Denver is doing better in every category that we take into our major consideration and that is a plus. The one drawback is how Denver will take to the road in this game as the stadium should still be empty, but even if fans are present the Jets will not give them much to cheer about as they are that bad. I personally look for Denver to win and cover with the final score coming in around the 21-10 type of mark for the under as well.
