The Mystics are a team that has been impressive at different points this year. The Mystics have ended up playing decently on the year and bounced back after opening the season with a loss to Connecticut with a couple of very nice wins. The Liberty, they are still searching for their first win on the year and that is definitely going to be a major issue for the Liberty as the offense has only topped out at 77 points on the year so far and that could present some major issues for the Liberty as they are facing the Mystics.

The Mystics lost their opening game with the offense not showing up. That led to them doing quite a bit of practice in the games after that and that really showed up with the way that the team bounced back. The Mystics in the last two games scored 96 in one game and 103 in the other game.

New York Liberty Preview

The Liberty is a team that has not been able to show up offensively at all on the year since the opening game loss to the Fever. The Liberty scored 80 points in that game, but ended up having the offense that only topped off at 77 points in the losses after that and the Liberty did not even look impressive in those losses as the defense looked very weak.

Tina Charles is the leader for the Liberty on the year with 22.7 points a game and 11 boards a game. However, Kia Nurse has managed to get a total of 11.3 points a game on the year. Passing the ball has been difficult for the Liberty with 4.3 assist a game on the year.

The Liberty have been playing decent with Charles leading the team, but outside of Charles the Liberty have no depth and are unable to do anything when she is on the bench resting and that definitely has cost the Liberty a lot. The Mystics, have not really been relying on any single player on the offensive side of the ball and that allows them to rotate the players out better and keep fresh legs on the court to control this game.
